The Zephyr Challenge

One Team. One Community. One Goal.

The Zephyr Challenge is the Mahtomedi Boys Soccer Program's annual player and family fundraising initiative. Fundraising is crucial for a successful season!  Through teamwork and community support, we'll strengthen our program while creating a fun and rewarding experience for our players.

Every family is asked to participate in two fundraising challenges.

Players who participate in the Zephyr Challenge can earn exciting rewards throughout the season!

Fundraising Challenges

1. Business Sponsor Challenge

Our primary fundraiser is the Business Sponsor Challenge.

Each player is expected to make a genuine effort to secure at least one business sponsor by either (or both):

• Contacting local businesses individually.  Link for Sponsors' payments.

or

• Participating in our Sponsorship Blitz, where players will work together in small groups to visit local businesses throughout the community. (more details to come)

If a sponsorship is not obtained through either of these efforts, families will complete a recommended $200 Buyout in place of securing a business sponsor.

PAYMENT DEADLINE: Tuesday, August 18th (Sponsorships AND Recommended Buyout)

LOGO DEADLINE: Thursday, August 20th

All checks (by Sponsors and for recommended Buyouts) can be made payable to "Mahtomedi Boys Soccer Booster Club."  Checks can be handed to the Treasurer, Matt Lindstrom or any captain's parent.

2. Kick It Forward Campaign

Players are encouraged to reach out to family members, friends, neighbors, former coaches, and other supporters who would like to support the Mahtomedi Boys Soccer Program.

Our recommended goal is for each player to raise approximately $100 through this campaign.

Every donation helps strengthen our program, and Community Supporters will be recognized in our season sponsor program (unless anonymity is requested).

We will be crafting a letter for the players to use when reaching out to friends and family for donations.  Please check back later...

🏆 Player Incentives & Recognition

⚽ Minnesota United Ball Chaser Experience  (link to more details)

Players who purchase a ticket for the Minnesota United Team Night are eligible for the Ball Chaser Experience.

The Top 5 Zephyr Challenge finishers who have purchased a Team Night ticket will earn the opportunity to serve as Ball Chasers during the MN United game! 

Zephyr Challenge standings are based on the combined total of:

• Business Sponsorships

• Sponsorship Blitz credit

• "Kick It Forward" donations

Our three team captains will also attend as the team's leadership representatives, bringing the total Ball Chaser group to eight players.

If a Top 5 finisher is unable to attend or did not purchase a Team Night ticket, the opportunity will be offered to the next highest eligible finisher.

Every unique supporter you secure earns one raffle entry.

Eligible entries include:

• Business Sponsors

• Friends & Family donors

• Sponsorship Blitz sponsors credited to your group

The more supporters you bring into the Mahtomedi Boys Soccer community, the more chances you'll have to win!

Raffle winners will be selected at our annual Intrasquad Scrimmage and will have the opportunity to pie the coaches! Additional team swag and prizes may also be awarded.
